Quality Control Lab Technician
This position requires the use of independent judgement to analyze pharmaceutical compounds using various validated and/or experimental methodology.
The position requires critical thinking and understanding of highly specialized analytical equipment and chemical compatibility to accurately and safely analyze chemical entities in order to make a determination of the quality of manufactured pharmaceutical compounds. Workplace will include working in a variety of areas where chemicals are used and stored.
The use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and an understanding of lab safety standards are required.
Perform analysis of samples using various laboratory equipment and techniques such as, but not limited to: FT-IR, Loss On Drying, Non-volatile Residue, Titrations, moisture analysis by Karl Fischer. Operate LC and GC systems in order to complete analyses of various types of samples. Maintain a thorough and neat laboratory notebook in alignment with cGMP.
Complete peer review and provide feedback to the team in group meetings.
Interface with interdepartmental representatives to communicate sample status and delays. Understand company production schedules (ie. SampleTrak, delivery schedules, Invoicing and planning schedules) to independently determine testing priorities.
Practical knowledge of chromatographic systems desired. Knowledge of report generating software such as Microsoft Word and have practice in summarizing reports. Expertise in Microsoft Excel is highly desired. Competent in technical writing of laboratory practices and discrepancies (i.e. investigational documents).
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or an appropriate science or an equivalent combination of education and experience. We are a 24/7/365 chemical manufacturing facilities. Candidates must be open to work any shift including weekends and holidays. This is a contract position with the ability to hire after 6-9 months.

Job Description: AMPAC Fine Chemicals is a contract manufacturing company focused on the development and manufacture of pharmaceutical compounds. We are looking for scientists to be part of a team that is developing cost effective solutions for our Pharmaceutical partners. This position is in the R&D department and is responsible for production support and process development of pharmaceutical ingredients:
- Develops scalable manufacturing processes in an cGMP environment
- Conducts experiments to optimize processes for commercial manufacture
- Meets with groups internally and externally for project meetings and prepares data for presentations
- Effectively participates in Process R&D team meetings
- Works under supervision of more senior scientists or scientific directors to advance the company pipeline
- Thinks critically and creatively and is able to work independently and in interdisciplinary groups
- Ability to resolve problems and has strong organizational and planning skills
- Demonstrates excellent writing and communication skills (both verbal and technical) and strong interpersonal skills.
Education & Experience:
Special Work Conditions: Work place may include areas where a wide variety of chemical materials are used and stored. May involve potential exposure to variable noise levels. Must customarily have a high consciousness for personnel and equipment safety. May be required to utilize a variety of personal protective equipment. May need to work outside of normal office hours.

Primary responsibility will include purchasing / subcontracting support for a growing API and Pharmaceutical chemical processing facility. This position will require preparation of “Bid Packages” for laboratory, construction, and chemical process equipment. Purchasing/subcontracting of related services required. The successful candidate must have the ability to analyze price / cost proposals, determine acceptability of bids and negotiate most advantageous terms.
SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS
May develop strategic business partnering relationship proposals and agreements that are key to supporting the Company’s strategic objectives. Develops solutions to complex problems which require the use of ingenuity and innovation. May serve as an internal consultant for the organization on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans and objectives.
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline and five to eight years directly related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess an understanding of the program office/project management role. Must possess a high level of understanding in all business matters and have the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
Must be able to understand the technical requirements of system engineering. Must be able to deal effectively with subcontractor top management. In addition, this position requires the ability to coordinate with all interfacing disciplines toward defining project requirements and to communicate those requirements to the suppliers /contractors both orally and in writing.
Process R&D Engineer in the Separation Group
Job description: (Preparative) using Batch and SMB technology (High Pressure Chromatography).– Implementation of new technologies for the organic chemistry labs. Survey of existing technologies. support process transfer from the lab to the plant.– Interface with customer.– Writing procedure and batch records (quality documents)– May involve traveling
