The School of Public Health invites applications from qualified individuals for a full time tenure-track position in Epidemiology. This position includes teaching, scholarly activity, and administrative work.  This position involves the delivery of basic and advanced health related epidemiology courses, both in the professional Master of Public Health Program (MPH) and in the graduate PhD and MSc Epidemiology programs in the School.   The preferred candidate should possess epidemiological expertise in a substantive health area and have an established track record or potential for a strong program of research with experience supervising graduate students at both the PhD and MSc levels. The successful candidate will be required to supervise and expand the PhD Epidemiology program.

We seek candidates who possess a PhD in Epidemiology or equivalent; a proven or emerging research track record that includes: peer reviewed publications, ability to develop a nationally and internationally recognized research program in Epidemiology supported by grant funding; and demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching. Relevant post-doctoral training and experience with health survey data (e.g. Statistics Canada) and national/provincial/state administrative health databases is an asset. The successful candidate will use a collaborative approach to help ensure the success of epidemiology courses and programs. Candidates at all ranks are encouraged to apply.

Salary bands for this position are as follows: Assistant Professor: $96,301 to $115,723; Associate Professor: $115,723 to $135,145; and Professor $135,145 to $157,804.  This position includes a comprehensive benefits package which includes a pension plan, dental, health and extended vision care plan, life insurance (compulsory and voluntary), academic long term disability, sick leave, travel insurance, death benefits, an employee assistance program, a professional expense allowance, and a flexible health and wellness spending program.
