The coordinator will work with other clinical placement team members to ensure that all students are appropriately placed for the clinical courses in their programs. Placements are governed by agreements with partner agencies, requirements of professional regulating bodies and course and program curricula. The incumbent will coordinate the activities of the team, monitor agreements and partner agency policies, liaise between MacEwan faculty and staff and partner agencies, and ensure that training, orientation and other requirements are met and documented. The incumbent will have a key role in developing, documenting and regularly reviewing team processes, and will prepare analysis and reports for the Faculty’s academic governance and administration bodies.SkillsApplicants must have demonstrated strong analytical, problem-solving and research skills; strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications; the ability to work in a team with minimal supervision; the ability to be nimble and flexible in a constantly changing environment; and the ability to develop working relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders. Familiarity with database applications HSPNet would be assets.Qualifications and experienceCandidates must hold a post-secondary diploma in a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred) and have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a post-secondary education setting or with a student placement team at a clinical agency.
